The Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church was born out of the suffering of free men and women to worship God as they saw fit in the Glendale area of Ohio, northwest of Cincinnati. From 1864 to 1868, our fore parents met for worship in several homes. In 1868, Rev. B. W. Arnett, who was on the Walnut Hills and Lockland circuit of the African Methodist Church, came to Glendale, Ohio on November 23, 1868 and organized a society at the home of Hester Daniels. The society was named Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church.

November 26, 1888 under the leadership of Rev. I. A. Collins, the first church building was purchased on East Willow Avenue in Glendale, Ohio.
This facility served as the place of worship from 1889 to 1983. In 1980, the Rev. Donald Jordan led the congregation in purchasing property in Forest Park, Ohio for their new place of worship. The current church facility sits on six acres. Many ministers and parishioners have given great and quality leadership for the continuous Christian service to God and the global community. Our current pastor is Rev. Dr. Jermaine Covington.
